You don’t need a big yard to feel like you have a garden. A handful of well-chosen pots on a balcony can change the whole mood. Green leaves, flowers, herbs or even a small tree in a tub add life, movement and colour to a concrete or metal space.
When you open the door in the morning and see plants instead of just railings and buildings, it instantly feels more calming. Sitting among pots, even in a narrow balcony, breaks that boxed-in apartment feeling.
You can mix heights – some pots on the floor, some on stands, maybe a hanging basket or railing planter – so your eyes get layers, not just a row. Add a small stool or foldable chair, and you’ve created a mini outdoor corner to sit, sip tea and breathe.
It might be small, but emotionally it still counts as “my garden”.
