We tend to look at floors and walls more than ceilings, so small problems overhead can quietly grow. A quick glance now and then – especially in bathrooms, near exterior walls and under roofs – can reveal early warnings.

You might spot faint stains, hairline cracks, small bubbles in paint or areas where the surface looks slightly swollen. These can be signs of moisture from a leak above, poor ventilation, or structural movement.

Catching this early means you can investigate before pieces of plaster fall, mould spreads, or water damage gets serious. It also gives you time to plan repairs instead of reacting in a panic when something dramatic happens.
